Palazzo Morando
A Sartorial History of Milan
Milano Outside/Inside, a journey through Valextra for Milano.
From 1903 to 1946, the Palazzo Morando was the residence of Countess Lydia Caprara di Montalba - a socialite, benefactress, and enthusiast of esotericism and astrology - who lived there with her husband, Senator Gian Giacomo Morando Attendolo Bolognini. Following her death, it was bequeathed to the City of Milan and has since become a destination of fashion retrospectives of Milanese clothes and accessories charting the past three centuries.
"For us Milan is energy, meritocracy, it’s a city that offers opportunities to people who come from outside because it is willing to improve itself. Milan represents the image of Italianness that we would like to have in the world."
