Valextra’s Glowing Report
Shining on the streets of Milano to the sidewalks of Osaka and Tokyo, Valextra’s leather goods glow from every angle. Now, our new pop-up boutiques in Japan arrive as spaces to immerse oneself in a warm embrace that mirrors their radiance.
Every inch of these new spaces has been designed and conceived to conjure the Valextra glow. A sophisticated play with light creates the degradé colour scheme that takes its cue from the ombré colouration of a flower’s petals in bloom, while the purity in form of monumental V-cut realised as an architectural backdrop bounces the eye around the boutiques like sun rays.
Elsewhere, Valextra’s luminous multidimensional palette and engineered silhouettes blaze a trail as their vivid colours evoke a prismatic palette. Materials absorb and reflect the play with light, inviting customers to reach out and interact with the boutique’s interior design, the intangible attraction of the glow, resulting in tangible touch points.
Materials play protagonist, evoking feeling and inspiring engagement, from the velvet small leather goods counter to the faux-fur seats, the high-pile sheepskin for the Tric Trac wall to the low-pile background to the bags area. Wallpaper is deliberately creased and external walls are conversely smooth to create points of positive tension that stimulate the senses.
Becoming glowing beacons, that house objects of desire, the boutiques communicate the importance Valextra places on its multidimensional and tactile materials that play with the light, becoming electrifying environments that invite multisensory connection through sight, touch and feeling.
The result? The Valextra glow.
